What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paid Canvasser position at Friends of Paul Takac?
Rep. Paul Takac's Re-election Campaign is seeking qualified individuals to go door-to-door in the 82nd District to engage voters in conversations about important issues, Paul Takac and the November election. Canvassers may also phone bank and assist with community canvass launches, data entry and turf cutting.
This is a temporary (through Nov 3rd), part-time (up to 25hrs/wk) position based in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Individuals do not require prior campaign experience.
A successful candidate will be friendly, outgoing and a good listener.
Requirements:
- Willingness to knock doors in a wide variety of weather conditions
- Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- A smart phone, portable charger and earbuds (for making calls)
- Available at least 10-15 hours per week, primarily late-afternoon / early evening and weekends
- Commitment to maintaining a Democratic Majority in the PA State House.
