In this role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care while building meaningful relationships and supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work alongside a supportive nursing team to ensure each resident receives high-quality care in accordance with their individualized care plan.
Essential Job Functions
- Accurately document all care provided in flow sheets, notes, charts, and related records in a clear and descriptive manner.
- Promptly report any changes in a resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
- Greet residents warmly and assist with escorting them to their rooms as needed.
- Participate in shift report and receive updates upon reporting for duty.
- Follow all facility policies regarding infection control and exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including:
- Oral hygiene (brushing teeth/dentures, mouth care)
- Bathing (bed bath, tub, or shower)
- Dressing and grooming
- Hair care (combing, brushing, shampooing)
- Nail care (excluding diabetic residents)
- Provide comfort measures such as backrubs as directed.
- Make and change beds, ensuring linens are clean, tight, and free of wrinkles.
- Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, appointments, and therapies.
- Support residents in attending activities and social programs (e.g., church services, events, visitors).
- Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, and within the facility as needed.
- Assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
- Support residents with walking, with or without assistive devices, as instructed.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
