Job Summary
FriendsNYC is looking for Temporary Sales Associate to join our team for the Holiday Season! This role goes beyond selling—it's a mix of customer engagement, stocking organizing inventory, and supporting our growing e-commerce business through fulfillment. The right candidate has strong communication skills, is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll support our leadership team in owning the customer experience in-store, restocking products as they sell, and fulfilling online orders to keep our business running smoothly. This role is temporary through January 8th, 2027 with potential to extend based on performance, and business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Customer Service & Sales:
- Engage with customers, providing product recommendations and a great shopping experience.
- Ring up sales efficiently and accurately using our POS system.
- Maintain knowledge of our ever-changing product assortment and communicate new arrivals to customers.
- Assist in merchandising and ensuring displays are visually appealing and fully stocked.
Store Operations & Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and restock products throughout the day to maintain a seamless shopping experience.
- Assist in receiving new shipments, tagging, and organizing backstock.
- Keep the store tidy and organized, ensuring shelves and displays are always looking fresh.
E-Commerce Support:
- Pick, pack, and process online orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Help manage inventory between in-store and online sales, ensuring accurate stock counts.
- Prepare packages for shipping and work with couriers as needed.
- Effectively utilize POS and in house tools to keep inventory up to date.
What We're Looking For:
- Retail or operations experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume retail setting.
- Self-starter who takes initiative to restock, organize, and improve processes without being asked.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when managing inventory and packing online orders.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mentality.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
