Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food preparation and service. This is a part time 2nd shift position. If you are looking for more hours we can accommodate by also giving you position hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Operate POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in cooking and food production as required during peak hours.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Monitor shift performance metrics to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, scheduling, and overall restaurant management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment; fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in the food industry is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with training & development of team members is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory management systems.
  • Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to motivate staff.
  • Knowledge of budgeting practices within a restaurant setting is advantageous.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
