Duties
- Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system oversight.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control to optimize product availability.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a skilled and motivated team capable of delivering exceptional service.
- Implement effective scheduling, shift management, and payroll processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and monitor sales performance metrics regularly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures while fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in sales team supervision or store leadership roles.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math calculations.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising staff in retail or grocery environments.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, cash handling procedures, and operational management.
- Ability to multitask effectively with outstanding organizational skills and time management capabilities.
