Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their service needs with professionalism and courtesy.
- Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and services, utilizing auto estimating skills.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure clear communication regarding repair requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service requests, and vehicle history.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with dealership policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay informed about automotive repair trends, diesel engine repair, and dealership offerings to provide informed recommendations.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes are essential.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is required.
- Experience in automotive sales or as a mechanic is a plus.
- Proficiency in aligning customer needs with appropriate services offered by the dealership is beneficial.
