We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostics, including X-rays.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide proper restraint and handling of animals during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and health maintenance.
- Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical areas.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
- Participate in kennel duties, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals.
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry.
- Experience with animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Laboratory experience in performing diagnostic tests is beneficial.
- Equine experience is an advantage for those working with larger animals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
