Sinton, TX or Granite City, IL | Full-Time | Manufacturing / Laser Fabrication
Join a growing steel-processing and laser-fabrication team where your programming and estimating work directly drives production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
As our Programmer/Estimator, you'll turn customer drawings into optimized nests and accurate quotes, working shoulder-to-shoulder with sales and the shop floor to get quality parts out the door on time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Prepare price quotes for all laserprocessed and fabricated parts.
- Design and nest parts to minimize scrap and maximize material efficiency.
- Review and approve part drawings for manufacturability before they hit the floor.
- Partner with sales, equipment operators, schedulers, and shipping so parts are processed and delivered on time.
- Track productivity, quality, scrap, and rework, and use those numbers to drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 3 years designing and/or nesting parts for laser processing and/or bending.
- Demonstrated proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of laserprocessing and bending equipment.
- A proven record of improving scrap and production efficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Excel.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience with TruBoost and BySoft software systems.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuousimprovement experience.
