Job Duties
- Prepare and set up operatories for all dental procedures.
- Turn over rooms efficiently between patients.
- Seat patients and obtain consent forms as needed.
- Stock and restock instruments and materials prior to each procedure.
- Sterilize operatories and instruments according to OSHA and CDC standards.
- Monitor schedule changes and procedure progress to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Take radiographs and utilize dental imaging equipment.
- Assist the dentist during treatment procedures.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
- Send cases to dental labs and enter accurate return dates in the software system.
- Maintain a valid CPR certification.
- Act as a liaison between dentists, staff, and patients to ensure smooth operations.
- Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Greet patients warmly and professionally.
- Collect and record payments in the dental software system.
- Process financing applications as needed.
- Contact patients with unscheduled or pending treatments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Administrator or Dentists.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Dental Assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Current X-ray certification.
- Active CPR certification.
- Front desk/administrative experience in a dental office.
- 2 year of professional dental experience.
- Surgical assisting experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Willingness to travel between offices as needed.
- Salary negotiable based on experience.
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
