Role Description The Sales Specialist role at FRIDAY is a full-time, hybrid position based in Jersey City, NJ, with flexibility for part-time work from home. In this role, you will manage the full sales cycle, from qualifying inbound and outbound leads to conducting product demonstrations and closing new business with small and mid-sized customers. You will build strong relationships with prospects and customers, understand their operational challenges, and position FRIDAY’s platform as a solution that makes managing hourly teams easier. On a day-to-day basis, you will handle a mix of calls, video meetings, and in-person interactions, maintain accurate records in the CRM, and collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handoff and a positive customer experience. You will also provide feedback to internal teams based on customer insights and may assist in training new colleagues on sales processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, handle objections, and support customers throughout the buying journey.
- Demonstrated Sales skills, including prospecting, qualifying leads, running product demos, and closing deals.
- Experience in Training or mentoring peers, and familiarity with basic Sales Management concepts such as pipeline management and forecasting.
- Prior experience selling SaaS or technology solutions to small or mid-sized businesses is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using CRM tools and productivity software to manage activities, track progress, and report on results.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration in Jersey City, NJ with independent remote work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
