HOUSEKEEPING

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout all areas of the warehouse, including production zones, storage areas, offices, restrooms, and breakrooms. This role plays a key part in supporting a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by ensuring all spaces remain clean, debris-free, and compliant with sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning of warehouse floors, aisles, and high-traffic areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
• Remove trash and debris from around the building, yard, and loading dock areas
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials in accordance with facility procedures
• Wipe down surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Clean spills or hazards promptly to prevent accidents
• Maintain cleanliness in cold storage areas (cooler/freezer) if applicable, following appropriate safety and PPE procedures
• Restock cleaning supplies and report low inventory to supervisor
• Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE
• Any task assign by leadership

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods (8 – 10 hours per shift)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders
• Ability to operate basic cleaning tools and equipment (e.g., mop, broom, vacuum, floor scrubber)
• Capable of wearing PPE such as gloves, masks, and insulated clothing for cold environments

Work Environment:

• Work performed in warehouse, office, and production environments
• Exposure to various conditions including dust, cleaning chemicals, and wet/slippery
• Comfortable working in various environments, including cold storage (cooler: 34°F - 65°F, freezer: -10°F–0°F), if required
• Noise levels may vary depending on warehouse activity and machinery
• Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts, depending on operational needs

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience in an industrial or warehouse setting is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
