Responsibilities and Duties for an Orthodontic Assistant

Our Orthodontic Assistants complete a rigorous in-office training program provided by Freytag Orthodontics that provides them with the knowledge and hand skills needed to work directly on patient’s braces and assist patients with their Invisalign treatments so that all patients receive the highest level of on time service. Orthodontic Assistants are trained to take x-rays, digital photos, impressions and fit appliances for patients, They complete all lab duties such as pouring up models and making retainers Our Orthodontic Assistants are also trained in all Sterilization procedures needed to maintain a safe and healthy space for patients and teammates including properly packaging and sterilizing instruments and preparing and disinfecting treatment bays. Freytag Orthodontics provides and requires all team members to use all recommended Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all CDC recommendations required for Dental offices.

Qualifications and Skills

X-ray Certification and Dental exeperience is required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
