The Frewsburg Central School District serves over 700 PreK-12 students housed in two buildings on separate campuses. The district encompasses 75 square miles in the southeastern portion of Chautauqua County. The district is located approximately three miles east of the City of Jamestown. The population of the school district is estimated to be 4,500. Our population is centered around the unincorporated village of Frewsburg and comprises five townships which include: Carroll, Poland, Busti, South Valley, and Kiantone.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This is routine manual work requiring efficient performance of simple building cleaning tasks. The responsibility of an employee in this class involves only the thorough execution of tasks following a well-established routine. Supervision is received from a custodian or other superior. Does related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
Mops and sweeps floors, stairs and hallways;
Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment;
Collects and disposes of trash and garbage and empties waste baskets;
Takes soiled linens to the laundry;
Delivers mail, packages and supplies;
Washes blackboards, sinks and other fixtures;
Washes drapes and curtains and cleans venetian blinds.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Working knowledge of building cleaning methods, procedures and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks; ability to get along well with others; thoroughness; dependability; physical condition commensurate with demands of the job.

8 hours per day, 10 months position inclusive of all student attendance days in each academic year plus (20) days during the months of July and August, collectively (2:30 PM- 11:00 PM)
$16.10/hr. - $17.00/hr. plus $0.45/hr. shift differential based on experience
