We’re seeking a PRN Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in their homes. What You’ll Do
- Deliver direct, hands-on nursing care to hospice patients based on an individualized plan of care
- Follow the direction of the Hospice RN Case Manager to support optimal symptom control and quality of life
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of services rendered
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and caregiving techniques
- Communicate changes in condition and patient needs to the interdisciplinary team
- Coordinate with hospice aides, social workers, therapists, chaplains, and other team members
- Ensure proper use of medical equipment and maintain infection control standards
- Support patients and families with empathy, dignity, and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
- Current LPN or RN license in the state of Missouri (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred (hospice or home health experience a plus)
- Ability to provide compassionate care and communicate clearly with patients and families
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Familiarity with hospice philosophy and the unique needs of the terminally ill
