Warehouse Supervisor/Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our warehouse team during [insert shift]. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of HVAC air filter products in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of shipping and receiving operators and forklift drivers, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shipping and receiving personnel, including forklift drivers and warehouse operators.
• Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of HVAC air filter products and materials.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, warehouse cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Schedule and assign daily tasks to team members, ensuring optimal labor utilization and shift coverage.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Operate and train team members on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain shipping and receiving logs, prepare reports, and update ERP or WMS systems as needed.
• Lead shift meetings, provide coaching and feedback, and support employee development and performance management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably HVAC or similar.
• Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures, inventory control, and logistics.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
