We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our multi-family property management team. This role requires traveling between multiple residential communities, completing work orders, responding to emergencies, and ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a high level of professionalism when interacting with residents, vendors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance across multiple apartment communities.
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately, including detailed notes and photos.
- Diagnose and repair issues involving:
- Electrical (outlets, switches, breakers, lighting)
- Plumbing (leaks, stoppages, garbage disposals, water heaters)
- HVAC systems (basic troubleshooting; EPA-certified techs preferred)
- Appliances (stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers/dryers)
- Carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Doors, locks, hardware, and window repairs
- Conduct move-out/move-in inspections, including unit turns and punch lists.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls when on scheduled on-call rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and company tools/vehicles.
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and building codes.
- Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, and supervisors.
- Manage and track inventory, ensuring accurate documentation for parts used.
- Travel between properties daily; mileage reimbursement or company vehicle provided (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on property maintenance experience in multi-family housing, facilities, or commercial settings.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environments.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to use mobile apps or maintenance software (AppFolio experience a plus).
- EPA Certification, HVAC experience, or specialized trade skills preferred but not required.
- Must pass background and employment verification.
Schedule & Availability
- Monday–Friday, full time
- Participation in after-hours emergency on-call rotation required
- Occasional weekends or extended hours during urgent maintenance situations

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
