Job Description

The Senior Director, Corporate Strategy is a senior leader within Freshworks' global Strategy organization, reporting directly to the VP of Strategy. This role partners closely with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team to tackle Freshworks' most critical, company-defining priorities. 

This is a high-impact role for a strategic operator who thrives at the intersection of enterprise strategy and hands-on execution. You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that shape the company's long-term direction while ensuring strategic priorities translate into real business outcomes. 

You'll join an established and growing Strategy team that serves as a central talent hub for Freshworks, working alongside leaders with top-tier management consulting and SaaS operating backgrounds. The team is trusted across the company to bring clarity to ambiguity, rigor to decision-making, and momentum to execution. 

What You'll Do: 

• Lead Freshworks' highest-priority strategic initiatives, addressing enterprise-level questions that influence long-term growth, portfolio direction, and operating focus
• Serve as a senior thought partner to the VP of Strategy, CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team on major strategic decisions
• Drive end-to-end strategy execution — from problem framing and analysis through recommendation, alignment, and delivery
• Partner closely with global functional leaders and India-based strategy teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and measurable impact 
• Develop board-level, investor-facing, and executive materials that clearly articulate Freshworks' strategic narrative 
• Conduct deep market, competitive, and financial analysis, including scenario modeling, investment evaluations, and business case development
• Help elevate the company's strategic planning and prioritization discipline, ensuring focus on the initiatives that matter most
• Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and results

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/ week (Tues - Thurs) from our San Mateo, CA headquarters. 

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience across management consulting, corporate strategy, or senior operating roles
• Proven ability to influence and advise C-suite and executive stakeholders 
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions 
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing strategy or consulting teams 
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and shifting between strategy and execution 
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder leadership skills 
• SaaS or technology industry experience strongly preferred 
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/ week (Tues - Thurs) from our San Mateo, CA headquarters. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $275,000 - $325,000. This role is also eligible for a target bonus. 

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level.
