Job Overview
Reports to: CEO and Operations Manager
I. Overall Description: A Driver and Facilities Associate safely transports goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations and assists the Operations Manager maintain the physical environment of a facility to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
II. Facilities Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
2. Assist the Operations Manager in scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
3. Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
4. Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
5. Oversee the work for minor construction jobs.
6. Maintain outdoor areas, such as the parking lot.
7. Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
8. Check completed work by vendors and contractors.
9. Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
10. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, replacing light bulbs, etc.
11. Install and/or assemble appliances, equipment, office furniture, etc.
12. Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
13. Maintain and repair warehouse equipment such as forklifts, sizer machine, etc.
III. Driver Duties and Responsibilities
1. Safe and Timely Transportation: Ensure the safe and punctual transport of the employer, their family members, and guests to various destinations, such as schools, appointments, meetings, or events.
2. Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure they are clean, fueled, and in good working condition. Handle routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs, if necessary.
3. Confidentiality: Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding the employer's personal and professional affairs.
4. Childcare Transportation: Ensure employer children’s safety during travel, assist with drop-offs and pick-ups at schools, extracurricular activities, or playdates, and communicate with parents about their children’s transportation schedules.
5. Flexibility: Be available during non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the employer's needs.
6. Professionalism: Always exhibit courteous and professional behavior.
7. Errands and Support: Occasionally run errands, such as going to the bank to make deposits, taking uniforms to get logo, going to Fed Ex stores, or delivering packages, as requested by the employer.
IV. Skills, Qualifications and Requirements Needed
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certifications in maintenance-related fields are a plus.
2. Licensing:
a) A Florida valid driver’s license is mandatory.
b) Clean driving record with no major violations.
3. Certifications a plus:
a) Industrial Maintenance Technician Certificate
b) Material Handling Equipment Technician Certification (MHE Technician)
4. Experience:
a) Prior experience in driving or delivery roles
b) Previous experience in facility maintenance, repair work, or a related field
c) Skilled in diagnostics and repair
d) Mechanical aptitude
e) Technical proficiency
f) Troubleshooting skills
g) Attention to detail
5. Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move heavy items if the role involves loading/unloading.
· Good vision and hearing to ensure safe driving.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions and temperatures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
