What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Freshlunches?
This is a Lead Serve position, ou are responsible for a wide range of duties involved with preparing and serving food. May require routine food service tasks in various areas of the department, such as cafeteria, kitchen and/or designated serving area. Lead Servers are also responsible for keeping the lunch line orderly and moving. Lead Servers also provide servers with support, training, and development when needed. Lead Server also assist at various school sites when directed by the Account Manager. Complete daily administrative tasks as directed by the Account Manager, and my adminstration.
This position is located in Sylmar, CA (not in Los Angeles County).
Job Summary:
As a Server you are responsible for a wide range of duties involved with preparing and serving food. May require routine food service tasks in various areas of the department, such as cafeteria, kitchen and/or designated serving area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check temperature of food when received
- Prepare area for daily operations with hot and/or cold items
- Practice safe food handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment; remove trash from all areas and dispose of in proper containers
- Report problems or concerns to Service Manager
- Provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work as needed
- Serve at other locations to cover for other team members or attend trainings as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to display and maintain a high standard of professional appearance, behavior, and attitude
- Ability to understand and meet food standards for health, safety, and excellence
- Must have basic math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is fast-paced
- Ability to understand and follow directions
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Must be able to work days; Monday through Friday
- Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 30 pounds at a time
Certifications and Experience:
- Food Handler Certificate; required to be maintained throughout employment
- Prior food service experience preferred
