This program is designed to help train and give you experience working with cutting edge technology and installations and prepare you for your future.
About the Program
Fresh Tech Integrated is a family run commercial systems integrator specializing in performance audio-visual solutions for churches, casinos, and businesses, including performance audio, theatrical style lighting, broadcast and cinema video, projection and displays, automation and other fixed low-voltage installation products. We are passionate about training up the next generation of techs and creating a supporting and exciting environment where they can develop their skills. Apprentices will gain experience in all aspects of the company, from shop builds and inventory, to site visits and active installations. Apprentices should leave the program with the skill and experiences needed to make an informed decision about their future. The program provides a part time position requiring 15-20 hours per week with the opportunity for future employment after program completion.

What You Will Do:
These are some of the day-to-day tasks you could expect to perform:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies
- Fulfilling and shipping orders, including preparing shipping documentation (shipping labels, packing slips)
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment received for upcoming installations
- Monitoring inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies or shortages
- Maintaining a clean and organized shop and warehouse environment
- Preparing equipment for installs, including unboxing, testing, labeling, and packing
- Operating pallet jacks, dolly's, and other material handling equipment as needed
- Assisting in equipment installations and manufacturing
Where You Will Work:
You will primarily be working from our shop most days, but at times will work off site with our team.
What You Will Learn:
These are some of the key things you can expect to learn:
- Phases and workflow of project from beginning to end
- Exposure to commonly used design tools and practices
- How to build and terminate cable assemblies
- Commonly used Rigging Practices and Tools
- Basic of operation of commonly used production equipment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment
What You Will Experience:
These are some of the experiences you will get as part of the program:
- One-on-One time with lead designers
- Participate in a project site walk through
- On site experience in an active install environment
- Hands on experience with manufacturing equipment (i.e. CNC Machines, Laser Engraving, etc)
Program Length, Completion & Pay:
- We offer two program terms, a 9-month program (Sept-May) and a 3-month program (June-August).
- At the end of your program term you will have the following opportunities:
- Move on from Fresh Tech with the ability to list us a past employer and reference
- Apply for another term of the apprenticeship program
- Apply for a part-time or full-time position with Fresh Tech
- The apprenticeship program pays $14.25 an hour with a 15-20 hour a week requirement.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to follow directions and processes
- Task-oriented (ability to complete tasks in a timely and complete manner)
- Basic computer skills
- Any level of experience with AVL equipment
