Job Description
Fresh Start Recruitment is hiring on behalf of an Am Law 50 law firm for an experienced Specialist Paralegal to support its International Trade Commission (ITC) and Intellectual Property Litigation practice.
This is a highly specialized role supporting complex, high-stakes IP and ITC matters. The firm is seeking only senior-level paralegals with deep ITC experience. This role is hybrid, and candidates must be willing to work in-office 3–5 days per week, as needed.

Role Overview
- Meet a 1,725 annual billable hour target
- Provide elite-level litigation support under attorney supervision
- Independently manage complex ITC and IP litigation responsibilities
- Support billing accuracy and fee recovery
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare, and manage complex legal documents for IP and ITC matters
- File documents with courts and agencies, including the International Trade Commission
- Manage e-discovery, document productions, and trial exhibits (Relativity)
- Assist with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
- Prepare motions in limine, jury instructions, verdict forms, witness lists, and trial binders
- Conduct legal and factual research (LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, EDIS, USPTO)
- Maintain litigation databases, trial logistics, and case repositories
- Train junior paralegals and coordinate with internal teams and outside vendors
- Travel and work overtime as required for trials and hearings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (ALL MUST BE MET — NO EXCEPTIONS):
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the following on their resume:
- 10 years of litigation paralegal experience (REQUIRED)
- 7 years of IP litigation experience, including ITC-specific matters (REQUIRED)
- Significant trial and arbitration experience, including in-court or agency hearing support (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor’s degree (REQUIRED)

Core Proficiencies
- Advanced ITC and IP litigation knowledge
- Expert-level trial preparation and courtroom support
- Proficiency in:
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Relativity and litigation databases
- LiveNote or transcript management software
- LexisNexis, Westlaw, PACER, EDIS, USPTO systems
- Strong command of timekeeping, expense reporting, and legal billing processes
Preferred (Not Required)
- Appellate practice experience

- Less than 10 years of litigation paralegal experience
- No ITC-specific IP litigation background
- No trial or arbitration experience
- No bachelor’s degree
- General litigation paralegals without IP/ITC specialization
