Open Position: Sanitation Supervisor

Location: Dinuba, CA

Fresh Select LLC. is a custom packing house and cold storage facility that specializes in citrus and pomegranates. At Fresh Select we take pride in putting our customers’ needs first, doing what’s best for the grower and thinking “inside the box”. We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated sanitation supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

Leads the sanitation team and oversees all the sanitation regulations, policies, and procedures for the production operation. Helps enforce sanitation, food safety standards, policies, and programs including HACCP, GFSI, regulatory audits, sanitation training programs, standard operating procedure (SOP’s) and standardized work instructions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directly responsible for production sanitation.
• Supervises cleaning of production equipment within GMP guidelines and SOP’s.
• Ensures production sanitation meets all company and regulatory standards.
• Maintains documentation such as SOP’s and procedure as they relate to sanitation and food safety concerns.
• Responsible for ensuring and monitoring all sanitation and food safety procedure in place for the production of quality product under clean and safe conditions.
• Directs a team of sanitation employees to meet or exceed all safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and food safety goals.
• Oversees master cleaning schedule, coordinated cleaning, and maintains records.
• Ensures compliance with SDS requirement that cleaning agents are properly used, stored, and secured.
• Follows all GMP’s related to GFSI standards and ensures work areas meet food safety standards.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months or more sanitation and supervisory related experience.
• Forklift Operator experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish, a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl under the pack line.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee may be in and out of a cold storage and experience a change in temperature ranging from 32 degrees or more.
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), at all times.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The days and hours vary depending on the season. The employee could be scheduled Monday through Sunday 1st, 2ndor night shift and the length of the shift is based upon production. During peak season, shift could be 12 hours per day.
Travel:
No travel is required.
