Responsibilities
- Select, prepare, and package fresh produce items with precision and care to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by monitoring stock levels, rotating products, and conducting regular stock counts.
- Ensure proper merchandising by organizing displays and keeping produce visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of heavy produce loads to prevent injuries.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations through routine cleaning and maintenance.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively using inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs.
- Retail store experience with knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, pricing, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including shipping & receiving procedures and product handling safety practices.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude to assist shoppers confidently and efficiently.
