We're looking for someone to join our team as a Cashier during the AFTERNOON/EVENING shift, where you'll be the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience for our customers. You will need to handle transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, provide exceptional customer service, and assist shoppers with whatever they might need. Your energy and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring customers leave satisfied and eager to return.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and making sure our customers leave feeling happy they came to our store.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote featured products and increase sales opportunities.
- Supervise or assist with team tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills & ability to interact effectively with diverse customers; Spanish or Balkanic language abilities are advantageous.
- Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash handling, basic math proficiency, and retail math understanding.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments that require product knowledge and customer engagement.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
