Job Overview

Fresh Press is looking for friendly, dependable, and energetic team members to join our Grand Island location. As a Fresh Press Associate, you’ll help create a welcoming experience for our customers while preparing and serving fresh food and drinks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Our Associates work throughout the restaurant, including taking orders, preparing pressed sandwiches, maintaining our salad bar, making specialty drinks and coffee, serving gelato, restocking, cleaning, and helping keep the restaurant organized and ready for customers.

We’re looking for people who are positive, reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable jumping in wherever help is needed. Restaurant experience is helpful, but it isn’t required—we’re happy to train the right person.

Position Summary

Fresh Press Associates are cross-trained team members who help operate the restaraunt from open to close.

Associates are expected to provide fast, friendly service; prepare menu items consistently; maintain a clean and stocked workplace; and step into any station as business needs require.

Core Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly, take accurate orders, answer menu questions, and make helpful recommendations.
• Operate the Square point-of-sale system, process cash and card transactions accurately, and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Prepare and serve Fresh Press menu items according to approved recipes, portions, presentation standards, and food-safety procedures
• Work across stations, including breakfast, pressed sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.
• Keep front counter, beverage, dining, kitchen, prep, and service areas clean, organized, sanitized, and guest-ready.
• Restock cups, lids, straws, ingredients, condiments, packaging, beverages, paper products, and other supplies.
• Complete checklists accurately and on time.
• Follow recipes, temperature controis, handwashing, allergen awareness, sanilızer procedures, labeling, dating, and other food-safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership, assist coworkers without being asked.

Position Expectations

• Arrive on time, in required attire, and ready to work at the scheduled start time.
• Maintain a professional, positive, respectful attitude with guests and coworkers.
• Follow direction, accept coaching, learn all assigned stations, and maintain consistent product quality.
• Take initiative: clean as you go, restock proactively, and leave each station ready for the next person.

Physical & General Requirements

Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods; bend, reach, and perform repetitive food-service tasks; safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds; work around hot equipment and cold storage; and perform basic counting and cash-handling tasks. Associates must follow all legally required food-handler, safety, and workplace policies applicable to their position.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
