What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Driver 3rd Shift position at Fresh Express?
3rd Shift 9:00PM - 6:00AM
The primary function of the Yard Jockey role is to move equipment around the facility while monitoring temperatures.
Job Functions:
- Operate yard truck to move equipment around facility.
- Pre-cool trailers according to the guidelines set forth in the Domestic Transportation Manual.
- Perform periodic yard checks to ensure loads are always maintained at proper temperatures.
- Maintain a good driving record and comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
- Report any vehicle problems and defects to the Supervisor for immediate attention.
- Fills out all necessary paperwork to perform job duties. (Trailer Inspection Report)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent driving record.
- Prefer over the road experience.
- Driving experience within the city.
- CDL Required
