Job Summary:
The Refrigeration Technician plays a pivotal role at Fresh Express, ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of refrigeration equipment, water treatment systems, hydraulic compressors, and air compressors with optimal quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, replace, and perform preventative maintenance inspections on refrigeration equipment, chilled water systems, hydraulics, wastewater systems, and air compressors.
- Demonstrate knowledge of tools and equipment applicable to the trade.
- Respond to emergency calls, evaluate situations, and take corrective action to prevent disruptions to facility operations.
- Work overtime when necessary to ensure continuous production.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all aspects of work.
- Operate the CMMS system and demonstrate proficiency.
- Effectively communicate with production teams and other mechanics to identify areas of concern, provide feedback, and support through data collection and analysis.
- Understand and support the company's objectives, including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals.
- Perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, and routine adjustments; follow periodic preventive maintenance schedules, and participate in safety initiatives.
