What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAMA Operator position at Fresh Express?
The CAMA Operator set-up, operate, troubleshoot, repair and perform general maintenance on CAMA, ProPrint equipment and tape machine.
Schedule: Monday to Saturday : 5:45am to 4:00 pm
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for proper machine set-up: CAMA, ProPrint and tape machine, general machine operation, and changeovers.
- Verify proper boxes to use and how to select settings for products.
- Assist Maintenance Department in performing PM's on CAMA, ProPrint or related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure the products meet both food safety requirements and customer specifications.
- Communicate quality issues of dry goods materials or finished goods to appropriate personnel.
- Responsible for the completion of all paperwork including, but not limited to, inspection sheets and set-up checklists.
- Follow and complete the daily product schedule, including changes that may occur during the course of the day.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift 30lbs.
- Stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more).
- Bend continuously throughout the shift.
- Able to work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to reach with hands and arms to adjust equipment settings.
- Flexible work schedule to include 6 day works weeks and/or weekends.
Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
- Working knowledge of CAMA and ProPrint equipment
- HS Diploma, GED, or Technical School.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience meeting or exceeding high production expectations.
- Past experience working in a cold environment 34 degrees
- Self-motivated individual who requires minimal supervision and direction.
Experience:
One year machine-operator in manufacturing experience preferred
