Position Summary
The District Manager – Jamba® oversees multiple Jamba restaurant locations within a designated geographic area, ensuring each store delivers an exceptional guest experience while meeting sales, profit, and operational objectives. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, controlling costs, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining full compliance with Jamba brand standards, company policies, and all applicable laws. The District Manager plays a vital role in coaching, developing, and holding Store Managers accountable while supporting a culture rooted in Jamba’s values, energy, and commitment to wellness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, train, mentor, and manage Jamba Store Managers, ensuring achievement of performance expectations including sales goals, labor and food cost targets, customer satisfaction scores, operational excellence, and adherence to Jamba brand standards. Accountability at the management level is a primary focus.
- Conduct announced and unannounced visits to Jamba restaurants to evaluate operational compliance, including facility condition, team member appearance, product quality, food safety, inventory controls, training effectiveness, labor scheduling, employee relations, and overall guest experience.
- Ensure all Jamba locations operate in full compliance with brand standards, company policies, the Operations Manual, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and analyze monthly sales, profit, and budget reports and provide timely feedback and strategic direction to Store Managers. Partner with restaurant leadership to drive smoothie and food sales, improve execution of promotions, manage expenses, and achieve year‑over‑year profit growth.
- Demonstrate flexibility and sound judgment in responding to evolving business needs, staffing challenges, and operational priorities.
- Resolve guest and employee concerns in a timely, professional manner, consistent with Jamba’s guest‑first culture. Investigate escalated employee relations matters, security or cash‑handling issues, and serve as a company representative with regulatory or governmental agencies when needed.
- Lead management development and succession planning by identifying and preparing high‑potential General Managers for advancement through targeted coaching, developmental assignments, and performance feedback. Support the growth of Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and hourly team members through continuous training and leadership development.
- Promote strong communication and collaboration across the district by sharing Jamba initiatives, promotions, best practices, and expectations. Encourage feedback, hold regular meetings, and actively identify opportunities to improve operations, reduce costs, and support company‑wide goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Typically oversees six (6) or more Jamba restaurant locations.
- Full authority to hire, train, evaluate, promote, recognize, discipline, and transfer restaurant team members.
- Reviews and approves timekeeping, scheduling, and attendance for restaurant management and staff.
Additional Duties
- Ensure proper execution of new Jamba products, seasonal offerings, brand initiatives, and required training programs.
- Oversee Jamba store openings, remodels, and re‑images within the assigned geographic area.
- Participate in the development and execution of the annual operating budget.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of General Manager experience required.
- Three (3) or more years of multi‑unit or district‑level leadership in a quick‑service or fast‑casual restaurant environment preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop leaders, and deliver consistent operational results.
Licenses and Certifications
- Reliable transportation required.
- Current food safety certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Food Handler Permit as required by local regulations.
- Full compliance with all local health department requirements.
