Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation to support healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics
- Operate ground maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of plants and turf
- Perform landscape upkeep tasks including edging, weeding, fertilizing, and pest management following safety protocols
- Help install hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Conduct routine groundskeeping activities to keep outdoor spaces clean, safe, and visually appealing
- Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling power tools and landscaping equipment to prevent accidents
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining landscaping machinery and power tools effectively
- Experience with landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and lawn care techniques
- Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, pests, and diseases related to horticulture
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices for safe application when necessary
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with outdoor work experience to contribute positively to project goals
