Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywaller - Painter to join our construction team. This role involves installing drywall, finishing surfaces, and applying paint and coatings to enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of various building projects. Candidates with a comprehensive understanding of construction site procedures, blueprint reading, and restoration industry practices are preferred. Responsibilities
- Install drywall panels accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
- Finish drywall joints using taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing techniques
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed
- Apply paints, stains, sealers, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment
- Perform plastering and stucco work to create smooth or textured finishes
- Execute caulking and trim carpentry tasks to ensure seamless joints and aesthetic details
- Hang doors, install fixtures, and perform metal stud framing when required
- Assist with water damage restoration projects including mold remediation and water leak repairs
- Read schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and remodeling teams for integrated project completion
- Maintain safety standards on-site and ensure work areas are clean and organized
Experience
- Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, painting, or related construction trades
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus
- Hands-on experience with plastering, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and spray painting techniques such as airless paint spraying
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprint reading, fixture installation, and metal stud framing
- Experience in the restoration industry or water damage remediation is advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and building codes
- Maintenance Person experience or background in remodeling projects is beneficial
