For over 25 years, Fresh & Ready Foods has been manufacturing and distributing high-quality sandwiches, salads, wraps, entrees, box lunches, and much more. In addition to what we make, we are concerned with how we make it. We have a comprehensive, detailed food safety program that gives us an extra level of confidence in the foods we manufacture. We are currently seeking for full-time Production Line Leaders to work flexible schedules including weekends.
Essential Job Functions
Perform daily Lead tasks associated with food production operations for Fresh & Ready Foods. Adheres to high quality, quantity, and sanitation standards. Also responsible for monitoring the accuracy of assembling all food products within a set production timeline. Ensure a high level of quality on all food items by following instructions from production reports. Enforce policies and procedures to meet federal and state requirements. Work effectively with production team to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly production goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Leads the day-to-day operations of the Production Department for one or more lines to assure products meet daily production schedules.
- Inspect employee work schedules and instruct production staff on timely attendance.
- Maintained update required records including food production, meal counts and personnel records;
- Ensure staff follows proper sanitation procedures.
- Ove see food service employees, including assembly line workers, runners, machine operators, and line leaders.
- Inspect cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, packaging machines, etc.
- Instruct staff on the proper use of equipment and proper performance of line tasks.
- Assist in training employees in all areas of food preparation, safety, and sanitation procedures;
- Oversee cleaning of the food preparation areas including all utensils and equipment.
- Oversee the staging of food items for assembly line production.
- Oversee that food presentation is attractive.
- Ensure that food frozen food items are stored and rotated properly by production staff;
- Oversee processing and preparation of food products to ensure compliance with standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Comply with “First-In – First-Out” (FIFO) food safety systems and procedures;
- Oversee preventative and general maintenance on food production equipment;
- Direct cleanliness of counters and floors to ensure a safe working environment;
- Monitor accuracy of scale measurements according to specifications;
- Monitor labeling of packaged food items according to standard protocols;
- Oversee verification of product labeling and accuracy of lot codes;
- Assure quality and quantity of food items;
- Assist in training staff on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
- Assure compliance of all company policies, procedures, and standards;
- Enforce of all company policies, procedures, and standards;
- Identify opportunities and find solutions for continuous improvement;
- Maintain and update documents and files as required;
- Comply and enter information into electronic systems and prepare reports when necessary;
- Respond to staff and management questions in accurate and timely manner;
- Address and respond promptly to needs and inquiries of management;
- Identify and respond to problems with appropriate action and timely follow-up;
- Assist in the review of departmental process to seek improvements;
- Adhere of all company policies, procedures, and standards;
- Support department and company-based goals which contribute to the success of Fresh & Ready Foods;
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times on matters pertaining to the company and its customers, vendors, distributors, and staff;
- Promote by example the principles of the Fresh & Ready Foods;
- Ensure that office and production work areas are kept clean at all times, safeguarding confidential information and documents;
- Consistently demonstrate professional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Problem-solve, organize and balance multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment;
- Maintain composure when handling unexpected challenges and competing demands; and
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
- Food Production Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year leadership/assistant role.
- Must be able to work in cold temperatures 35-50 Fahrenheit
