Role Description The Dialysis Patient Care Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Rehoboth Beach, DE. This role supports the delivery of safe and effective dialysis treatments by preparing equipment, setting up treatment stations, and assisting with patient flow in the clinic. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct patient care under clinical supervision, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and supporting patients before, during, and after dialysis sessions. The technician helps maintain a clean, organized, and compliance-focused treatment environment, follows infection control protocols, and communicates relevant patient information to the clinical team. The role also involves educating patients on treatment processes, offering compassionate support, and collaborating with nurses and other healthcare professionals to promote positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Patient Care and Direct Patient Care in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Experience with Medical Assisting tasks, including supporting clinical procedures and documentation.
- Knowledge of basic Medicine principles relevant to dialysis treatment and chronic kidney disease.
- Ability to accurately obtain, monitor, and record Vital Signs according to clinical protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dialysis technician or medical assisting program preferred.
- Current certification or eligibility to obtain certification as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician as required by local regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with a commitment to person-centered, culturally sensitive care.
- Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions, adhere to safety and infection control standards, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for electronic medical record documentation; prior experience in nephrology or dialysis is a plus.
