- Must be authorized to work in the United States. The company will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization (i.e., individuals on student visas are not eligible for an internship).
- Completed freshman year by start of internship: $20.00 per hour
- Completed sophomore year by start of internship: $21.00 per hour
- Completed junior year by start of internship: $22.00 per hour
PROJECT DETAILS:
- Support the enrollment and re-engagement of new and returning donors who have not donated within the last year to maintain and expand the eligible donor population.
- Assist with the timely archival of donor charts for individuals who have withdrawn from the program, are no longer eligible, or have exceeded one year since their last donation.
Responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks associated with research studies including:
- the eligibility assessment of prospective subjects, collection and processing of blood products and specimens,
- data entry,
- documentation of study related activities, etc.
- proficiently performs protocol specific procedures including phlebotomy for the collection of sample tube products.
- ensures a subject focused approach is implemented and complies with standard operating policies and procedures in accordance with applicable compliance requirements.
- this position is responsible for handling these clearly delineated tasks/projects as delegated by and with guidance from department leadership.
- Experience in a healthcare or research setting preferred.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively with others.
- Effective prioritization, organization, and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data related to laboratory results, subject medical history, and data collection and reporting.
- Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality work.
- Proficiency with data entry.
- Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university program
- Pursuing a degree related to the position
- Be classified as a minimum of an entering sophomore or above
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
- Must commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of internship
