Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor to lead our front of the housel team and ensure smooth daily operations on the sales floor. In this dynamic role, you will oversee staff performance, manage inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience. Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies
- Lead, motivate, and train retail staff in customer service, sales techniques, inventory management, and POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Oversee employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training to foster a knowledgeable and engaged team
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize product presentation and availability
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong retail sales team aligned with company standards
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports on store operations, and assist with budgeting and payroll processes
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail industry, including team management and shift supervision
- Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to retail math, pricing, and bookkeeping with accuracy
- Experience with operational management tasks such as purchasing, merchandising, stock control, and budgeting
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in grocery or general retail stores is preferred but not required; a passion for customer service is essential
