Job Duties Summary: The successful candidate is responsible for the architecture, engineering and hands-on integration/implementation of Remote Digital Tower subsystems, associated graphics and networking components.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
- Provides systems and integration engineering support for software and hardware systems, subsystems, and modules.
- Responsible for system integration, enhancements and maintenance.
- Responsible for test procedure development and test execution to verify system functionality and compliance to customer requirements.
- Performs system analysis and debug of integrated system components.
- Document identified discrepancies and interface with hardware and software development teams for resolution of problem areas.
- Performs collection, analysis, and reporting of operational data for use in maintenance, performance optimization, and planning for future enhancements/upgrades.
- Responsible for implementation and analysis of security standards.
- Creates and reviews technical documentation.
- Responsible for trouble ticket generation and resolution.
- Interfaces with other leads and teams to ensure collaboration as it affects the design goals and deliverables.
- Takes ownership of engineering related deliverables produced & their technical compliance.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience with IT and/or graphics hardware and software
- 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in developing, integrating, or sustaining System of Systems
- Strong experience in integrating IT system technologies (servers, routers, networks, operating systems)
- Strong networking skills including networking analysis tools
- Scripting experience preferred (Python, Shell, Perl, etc.)
- Strong experience in system engineering tasks such as requirements development, technical design reviews, system integration, and test case development
- Strong experience in Linux (RHEL preferred)
- Work experience in systems engineering, test engineering, or Dev Ops is desired
- Experience in RHEL containerization (Docker, Podman) is desired
- Experience in developing technical documentation
- Willingness to work on hardware and software
- Active security clearance or capable of obtaining
Special Notations or Conditions of Employment:
- Daily work on-site in Columbia, MD
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Susceptible to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance
- Up to 25% travel required
- Travel to customer sites may be required for site surveys and system deployments
- Must be able to also travel internationally
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
