Grain Elevator Operator

Frenchman Valley Coop is looking for individuals who have an interest in working for a local cooperative in the Grain Department. We have openings in the Palisade and Culbertson areas for Elevator Operators & Lead Elevator Operators. We would like to hear from you if you are willing to work hard and have an Ag background, experience in the Grain Industry or have the desire to begin your career in the Ag Industry. Income potential can exceed $50,000 per year with overtime and full benefits for full time hires.

• Responsible for the operation of elevators, grain dryers and all related equipment.
• Assists with coordination of loading/unloading of trucks and rail cars.
• Assists with coordination of a program for monitoring the condition of all grain, regular monitoring of grain temperatures, monthly measurements and calculating of inventory.
• Assists with a housekeeping program to monitor and maintain the condition of all grain, keep the facility clean and control pests.
• Comply with company maintenance program to ensure equipment and vehicles operate properly and safely.
• Keeps informed of new technologies in grain handling.
• Performs general maintenance, upkeep and housekeeping of elevator and buildings.
• Works with attention to detail while promoting teamwork and safety.
• Exposure to constant dust or airborne particles to be expected.
• Frequently exposed to heights up to 40', outside weather conditions including rain, cold, dust, vibration, climb stairs and ladders.

** Estimated annual income is based on 40 hours / week plus overtime during seasonal busy times. Hourly wage range will be discussed during interviews and is based on experience.
