Outside Golf Member Services Attendant

Position: Golf Guest Services Attendant FT Seasonal

Classification: Nonexempt

Reports to: 1st Assistant Golf Professional

Summary/Objective

Under the direction of the management team consisting of the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals, the fundamental duties of the Guest Services Attendant include responsibility for day-to-day operations around the golf course. These duties include greeting guests and assisting them with their golf clubs, providing cleaning services, rental clubs, care and routine maintenance of the golf cart fleet, and general clean-up duties around the clubhouse areas at the applicable golf course.

Essential Functions

Actively promotes and exhibits enthusiasm in the workplace and among the guests; clearly identifies guest experience priorities and manages time effectively and efficiently to accommodate their needs;

Completes daily reports of all items requiring attention including rental clubs, golf carts, and general repairs and maintenance issues in and around the guest services and clubhouse areas;

Promotes the safety and security of co-workers, guests, building and assets utilizing procedures and policies developed by Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club;

Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless team-oriented guest service;

Provides feedback to the management team on effectiveness of program initiatives.

Knowledge of:

Golfing and golf course environments;

Some on the job training is provided; however, employees must be able to accept responsibility for assignments and follow directions in a timely and professional manner

Two-way radio communication.

Ability to:

Work varied hours/days;

Take initiative, be self-motivated and perform at an independent, accountable, and dependable level;

Communicate in person in a one-to-one setting;

Work closely within a team environment to ensure the smooth running of the outside guest services operation.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory duties

Work Environment

This position must work outside and be subject to extreme heat and inclement weather to

accomplish tasks. Must be able to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time or part-time position as determined at hire. Days and hours of work are variable according to business demands. This position flexibility as weekend work and holidays may be necessary.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma required. Prior golf course experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

This position may require the use of personal or Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club vehicles including golf carts. The Guest Services Attendant must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for Frenchman’s Reserve Country Club business will be prohibited if the Guest Services Attendant is not authorized to drive a vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

This is a Seasonal Full-Time position. Country Club experience preferred.
