Job Title: Cook III / Cafeteria Attendant
Department: Culinary
Reports To: Cook II, Cook I, Chef De Partie, Sous Chefs, or Chef De Cuisine

SUMMARY:
The Cook III is the entry-level role in the kitchen brigade, assisting in basic preparation, and learning one station. This position is suited for apprentices, interns, or those new to professional kitchens. Other duties assigned as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Washes, peels, and chops vegetables; prepare simple garnishes.
- Assists with basic prep such as measuring, mixing, or portioning.
- Stocks station with ingredients and supplies.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Supports higher-level cooks with mise en place and service needs.
- Adheres to food safety standards.
- Follows company policy and procedures.
- Taking care of The Hub. Making sure the food meets FC and Safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to take direction.
- Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Experience: None required; suitable for entry-level or training candidates.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to learn how to measure and calculate ingredients, adjust recipes, and follow portioning guidelines.
REASONING ABILITY
- Able to troubleshoot, adapt to changing needs, and solve problems with sound judgment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste, and smell.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to hot and cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, humidity, and airborne particles may occur.
- Noise level is usually moderate to high.
