Studio Operations Manager
Frenchies Modern Nail Care – RIVERTON, UT
The Operations & Studio Manager is accountable for all day-to-day operations and supply inventory and works closely with owner(s) to help oversee human resource management, public relations/marketing, customer service/relationship management, and fiscal accountability. This position requires accessibility including 1st point of contact 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. This individual must be licensed to perform the role of nail specialist if required from time to time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for training and the proper execution of the service protocols by Specialists.
- Leader and key player in the implementation of our Guest Experience Cycle. Goal is to exceed customer expectations from initial inquiry to on-going guest relationship management.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate supply inventory for site operations.
- Assist in marketing and public relations. Efforts include key player in planning and implementation of marketing booth at special events, literature distribution, $5 card distribution, etc.
- Lead in human resource management. Responsible for Specialists and Studio Concierge schedules and coverage during all working hours and coordination of time off requests. Duties also include involvement in hiring/firing, disciplinary action, training and development. Assist with payroll processes.
- Develop and cultivate vendor relationships.
- Responsible for constant monitoring of safety and sterilization standards for all individuals (internal customers, external customers, vendors, visitors, volunteers/interns) within our facility or on our physical grounds. Plan and implement on-going safety processes.
- Responsible for recognizing and communicating with owner(s) regarding areas for process improvement. Assist in planning and implementation of ongoing process improvement.
- Accountable for efficient and effective day-to-day operations that achieve service standards and fiscal outcomes. Besides ownership, the Manager is the only person responsible for bank deposits. This starts with leading Daily Huddles and includes assisting with development of policies and procedures to accomplish these standards.
- Responsible for being a working manager, which means all essential functions indicated in Specialist and Concierge roles and responsibilities.
- Communicates almost daily and works hand in hand with Guest Experience Manager.
- Other duties as assigned in the spirit of teamwork.
Follows safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above functions, reports/removes unsafe equipment and attends safety/training education sessions.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for coverage of shifts in short-notice/emergency situations (sickness, etc)
- Overall studio and employee cleanliness and appearance.
- Overall studio maintenance, repair, and upkeep
- Participate in defined community outreach requirements (volunteerism).
- Weekly one to ones (10 - 15 minutes) with each employee
- Monthly reviews
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly Reporting : Studio Concierges and Nail Specialists
Indirectly Reporting: none
Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in employee hiring/firing, training and development, disciplinary action, payroll and scheduling.
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY:
The Studio Manager reports directly to all members of ownership and is accountable for all aspects of business operations. The Studio Manager is first point of contact for all day-to-day operations. This position works closely with owner(s) and other key individuals to identify needs, develop processes, and implement strategies to meet organizational objectives. This position is also very involved in human resource management including hiring/firing, training and development, safety and process improvement activities. The Studio Manager is accountable for meeting established guest service standards focusing on both internal customer (team, interns, vendors) and external customer (current clients and all potential customers).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Cosmetology and/or nail technician license
