Position Title: Reception Host - F&B Attendant

Non-exempt Department: Food & Beverage

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager

Principle Responsibilities/Position Purpose:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide an excellent guest experience and to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests from the moment they enter the establishment while providing a ‘can do’ attitude. This position is responsible for light food prep, reception set-up and breakdown, and occasionally light bar duties.

Job Requirements:

• Setup, breakdown and cleaning of buffet & beverage equipment.
• Maintain a full, appetizing, fresh display of buffet foods, communicating likely shortages to the Chef
• Collect dirty plates from guest tables and side-carts and assist with cleaning dirty dishes
• Interact with guests, take orders and serve drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• A positive attitude, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure
• Properly open and serve wine, prepare alcoholic beverages according to recipe, prepare day drinks - tea, lemonade & detox water
• When appropriate, keep coffee fresh & hot, filling out the coffee log when completed
• Ensure the correct temperatures of food
• Ordering, organization and inventory of goods
• Assisting the Chef with food preparation
• Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
