We are seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive primary care to active-duty service members, their families, and other eligible beneficiaries at NBHC Meridian, MS. As Primary Care Manager for a panel of approximately 1,000–1,300 TRICARE Prime enrollees, you'll deliver full-scope care in a collaborative military treatment facility — with no after-hours on-call.
What You’ll Do
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages for acute, chronic, and preventive care needs; perform minor procedures and prescribe medications
- Conduct wellness exams, immunizations, and required military physicals (PHAs, deployment and separation exams)
- Perform occupational medicine exams, including fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; generate referrals and consultations when clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate documentation in MHS GENESIS (DoD Electronic Health Record)
- Collaborate with and provide clinical guidance to corpsmen, nursing staff, and the broader MTF care team
- A licensed physician who delivers full-scope, patient-centered primary care
- Comfortable working within a structured, team-based military treatment facility
- Mission-minded, with clinical work that directly supports service members and their families
Education
- MD or DO from a medical school accredited by the LCME, COCA, or equivalent (ECFMG certification required for foreign-trained physicians)
- Completed an accredited Family Medicine residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABFM or AOBFP)
- Active, unrestricted state medical license; current hands-on BLS/ACLS (AHA or ARC); valid DEA registration
- Clinical experience within the past 2 years demonstrating current competency
- U.S. Citizen, required for CAC eligibility (Tier 1 background investigation)
