Job Purpose
Chocolate Makers are an essential part of fulfilling French Broad Chocolate’s mission: to make awesome chocolate. Chocolate Makers are responsible for following company production standards and recipes to consistently produce chocolate that meets FBC’s quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Works with high productivity to meet production schedule
- Executes recipes precisely and consistently to maintain quality standards, limit mistakes and product loss
- Operates, monitors, and properly cleans all chocolate making equipment
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Adheres to all food safety and occupational safety protocols and procedures
- Additional tasks as requested
Qualifications
- 1 Years’ experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Alignment with FBC mission, vision, and values
Working conditions
- May require evenings and weekends as necessary
- Primarily indoor work, but with varying climatic conditions
- Noise & dust which may require protective gear
- GMP Facility requiring adherence to Food Safety protocols and procedures
Physical requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Solo lift 50 lb. regularly
- Team lift 70 lb. occasionally
- Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest periods
