RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with IB Mathematics curriculum standards, incorporating modern instructional technology and diverse teaching strategies.
- Deliver engaging instruction and facilitate interactive classroom activities across core mathematical topics including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and related fields.
- Develop assessments — including quizzes, tests, and projects — to evaluate student understanding and progress; prepare students for IB internal and external examinations.
- Provide personalized support and academic guidance to meet students' individual learning needs and help them reach their academic goals.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment that fosters strong student relationships and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and assessment tools; participate in professional development to stay current with IB and educational best practices.
- Maintain regular, open communication with students, parents, and academic coordinators.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred.
- IB teaching authorization or proven experience with the IB Diploma Programme strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom experience teaching secondary-level mathematics; private or international school experience is a plus.
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment design tailored for diverse learners.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms and tools for interactive instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate students and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
- Commitment to multicultural education and the values of an international learning community.
- French language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
