A Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acts as a buyer for the dealership, ensuring a steady supply of quality used vehicles to meet customer demand.  The Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing used vehicles for a dealership or other automotive business. They assess vehicle values, negotiate prices, and ensure the inventory meets the company's needs. This role requires strong negotiation, market research, and relationship-building skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing Vehicles: Identifying and acquiring used vehicles through various channels, including auctions, private sellers, and trade-ins. 
• Evaluating Vehicles: Assessing the condition, mileage, and market value of vehicles to determine a fair purchase price. 
• Negotiating Prices: Effectively negotiating with sellers to acquire vehicles at the most advantageous price for the business. 
• Maintaining Inventory: Ensuring the used vehicle inventory meets the business's specific needs and quality standards. 
• Building Relationships: Developing and maintaining relationships with potential sellers, including individuals, other dealerships, and auction houses. 
• Managing Paperwork: Handling the necessary paperwork and documentation for vehicle purchases and transfers. 
• Staying Informed: Keeping up-to-date on market trends, pricing, and industry developments. 
• Coordinating Logistics: Arranging for the transportation and inspection of purchased vehicles.
