What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator position at Fremont-Mills Comm School District?
Fremont-Mills Community School District is seeking a motivated, student-centered Secondary Paraeducator for the 2026–2027 school year. This position will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and administration to provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in grades 7–12.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small-group support to students under the direction of licensed staff
Assist students with academic work, classroom activities, organization, and skill development
Support the implementation of student IEPs, accommodations, behavior plans, and other individualized supports as directed by licensed staff
Encourage student independence, responsibility, and positive decision-making
Assist teachers with classroom routines and student supervision
Support students in general education and special education settings as assigned
Supervise students during transitions, lunch, study halls, and other school activities as needed
Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff
Maintain confidentiality regarding students and student records
Communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and administration
Promote a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
Perform other student-support duties as assigned
