Fremont and Bonneville High Schools - PT CNA Classroom Aide (26947)

A position has been declared open in the Weber School District at Fremont and Bonneville High Schools (with Fremont High School will serving as the home and evaluative school) for a part-time CNA Classroom Aide. This paraprofessional position is for 5.50 hours per day (hours may vary week-to-week depending on needs of the teacher/classroom), 180 days (9 months) per year and is paid according to Lane 4(B) of the Paraprofessionals Salary Schedule. Fremont High School will serve as the home ("evaluative") school.

THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS.

The CNA Classroom Aide supports the instructor in delivering a high-quality Certified Nursing Assistant program to high school students. This role involves assisting with classroom management, preparing instructional materials, supervising hands-on skills practice, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. The aide plays a vital role in helping students develop the foundational knowledge and clinical skills necessary for success in the healthcare field.

Essential Duties:

• Assist the instructor with classroom setup, organization, and daily operations.
• Supervise and support students during clinical skills labs and simulations.
• Prepare and maintain instructional materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor student behavior and engagement, providing redirection as needed.
• Reinforce course content by helping students review and practice CNA skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols during labs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing additional help.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• The CNA Classroom Aide must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, who is in good standing with the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry and all other states in which the CNA is certified.
• The incumbent must be able to pass a background check.
• High school dipolma or equivalent is required.
