The Front Office Appraiser plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our office. Duties
- Greet taxpayers, providing them with necessary information and assistance
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate records and files related to tax appraisal and ownership of parcels
- Process deeds and documents to properly transfer ownership of parcels for taxation
- Must be able to read legal descriptions and locate parcels using the county approved mapping system and other GIS mapping tools
- Assist taxpayers with various tax relief programs
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely completion of all time sensitive tasks
- Provide support for assessment related inquiries and documentation.
Skills
- Familiarity with GIS technology
- Comfortable with computers
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office and communicate effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- A skills test will be required
