We're seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our growing team! You'll play a pivotal role in securing profitable projects by preparing comprehensive budgets and bids. This hands-on position will see you managing the entire estimation process, from the initial receipt of plans and specifications to the delivery of our final proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
- Develop competitive and profitable bids
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure proposals align with project requirements and client expectations
- Manage subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing for optimal project value
- Maintain a comprehensive database of unit costs and historical project data for future reference
- Prepare and present proposals to clients in a professional and persuasive manner
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC estimating
- Proven ability to develop accurate and competitive bids that win projects
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and installation practices
- Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A team player with a positive and results-oriented attitude
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
