Parts Counterman

We are growing!! Freightliner-Western Star of Maine is seeking enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working individuals to join our team. Come and join a winning team that extends from Westbrook to Fort Kent. Our newly renovated Fort Kent location is ready to take on demands of Northern Maine. We are looking for a heavy duty parts counter person that will provide great customer service to our customers. Experience is preferred but we are always willing to train the right person. Pay will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and assist customers
• Invoicing cash and charge customers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
• Write and comprehend information to fellow co-workers and/or customers
• Solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations
• Apply common sense understanding in order to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• Correspond with shipping and receiving regarding deliveries coming in or going out.

Requirements:

• Valid Maine driver’s license
• Positive attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to participate in physical inventory
